EXPRESS ENTRY · CEC + FSW

One work history.
Two pathways, made clear.

Enter actual payslip hours by employer. We combine your work history and check CEC and FSW separately.

Your work history

Use a separate entry if your occupation or work conditions change. All entries stay on this page.

HOW IT WORKS

Your pay periods.
Rules handled automatically.

Excess hours capped, lower hours kept

Eligible work in the same Monday–Sunday week shares a 30-hour ceiling. Pay frequency is an input unit, not a fixed 65-, 60- or 130-hour cap per payslip. Period totals are averaged by day for an estimate. For uneven hours, add weekly allocations beneath the record; no calculation-method selection is needed.

Canadian and foreign experience, checked separately

CEC combines eligible Canadian experience in the previous 3 years, without requiring continuity. FSW can use Canadian and foreign work within 10 years, but requires a continuous period in one NOC. Changing employer need not interrupt a period; different occupations cannot simply be added. Both reference milestones require 1,560 hours and at least a one-year span.

Assumptions, exceptions and result limits

Entries assume paid TEER 0–3 work with duties matching the NOC. CEC excludes full-time student work, self-employment and work without the required Canadian authorization or temporary status. Foreign work and remote work for foreign employers do not count for CEC. Student work may count for FSW; self-employment or Canadian authorization questions prompt review. Physician exemptions are not automatically adjudicated.

Cross-week payslips without weekly allocation use an average estimate and cannot establish whether actual weekly hours exceeded the cap. Partial weeks and lookback boundaries may need review. Zero-hour portions are conservatively treated as interruptions; split unpaid gaps, and review paid leave against actual documentation. Missing NOCs are not assumed to match across employers.

This tool estimates the work-experience requirement only. Hours alone cannot establish full immigration eligibility: language, FSW’s 67-point threshold, education, funds and other conditions still apply. Employer names are optional and are not saved or uploaded.
